Pandemonium broke out yesterday at Obada-oko community in Ewekoro local government area of Ogun state when suspected land speculators and youths engaged in a bloody clash leading over land disputes in the area. One person was reportedly killed while several persons sustained injuries. A lawmaker representing Ewkoro state constituency in the State House of Assembly, Israel Jolaoso narrowly escaped death in the hands of the rampaging land speculators. The development paralyzed commercial activities as the ever-busy old Abeokuta-Lagos road was blocked for several hours for those coming into Abeokuta and those leaving the town . Also, the third term unified examinations in the state public schools were immediately cancelled.
