Cross River State APC rejects election results

The Cross River State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has rejected the result of the governorship and state House of Assembly elections as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.



Chairman of the party in the state, Mr Usani Usani, disclosed this on Monday in Calabar, despite the position of the party's governorship candidate, Odey Ochicha, who had called and congratulated Senator Ben Ayade, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who was announced as the winner of the poll.



According to Usani, the party decided to reject the result announced by INEC after a thorough investigation proved that the result sheets were tampered with, allegedly by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in favour of their candidates.
