Liverpool's Europa League campaign began with
a draw as hosts Bordeaux rallied to share the
spoils 1-1 as the group stage began on Thursday.
Adam Lallana cut inside the box and curled home
the opener for a makeshift Liverpool side after 65
minutes.
But the Premier League club could not hold their
advantage and Bordeaux rallied though Jussie's
goal nine minutes from time.
Swiss club Sion lead Group B after Moussa
Konate's late goal gave them a 2-1 victory over
Rubin Kazan.
Park Joo-Ho scored in stoppage time to
lift Borussia Dortmund to a 2-1 draw at home
against Krasnodar in Group C.
Pavel Mamayev opened the scoring for the visitors
in the 11th minute, and Matthias Ginter equalised
just before half-time.
Park found the winner with a late header as
Dortmund took the lead in Group C, with Qabala
and PAOK playing to a goalless draw in the other
game.
Tottenham shook off a slow start to rally past
Qarabag 3-1 in Group J.
Son Heung-Min scored twice in two minutes in
the first half after Richard Almeida slotted home
an early penalty for the visitors.
Erik Lamela scored late on to give Spurs a
comfortable finish.
Lacina Traore scored five minutes from time to
salvage a 1-1 draw for Monaco away to
Anderlecht.
Napoli cruised to a 5-0 win at Club Brugge in
Group D.
Dries Mertens had a brace by half-time after Jose
Maria Callejon opened the scoring just five
minutes into the game.
Marek Hamsik added a fourth eight minutes after
the break before Callejon added his second of the
night.
FC Midtjylland defeated Legia Warsaw 1-0 thanks
to Michal Kucharczyk's own goal in the other
Group D game.
Villarreal began Group E with a 2-1 defeat
at Rapid Vienna despite taking the lead through
Leo Baptistao on the stroke of half-time.
Stefan Schwab equalised five minutes after the
break, and Steffen Hofmann converted a penalty
just three minutes after that to lift the Austrian
club.
Viktoria Plzen won 2-0 at home against Dinamo
Minsk in the other Group G game, Toma Horava
and Milan Petzela scoring either side of half-time.
In Group A, Celtic saw two leads slip away and
settled for a 2-2 draw at Ajax.
Nir Biton's eighth-minute opener was cancelled
out by Viktor Fischer's goal for the hosts, but
Celtic were again on top when Mikael Lustig
scored before the break.
However, Ajax were able to rally when Emilio
Izaguirre picked up his second yellow card in the
74th minute. The dismissal opened things up
for Lasse Schoene to level the score again six
minutes from time.
Norwegian side Molde took the lead in Group A
with a 3-1 win at Fenerbahce on goals by Tommy
Hoeiland, Mohamed Elyounoussi and Martin
Linnes.
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scored twice as Schalke
cruised past APOEL 3-0.
Huntelaar scored either side of half-time after Joel
Matip's opener as Schalke took the lead in Group
K.
Sparta Prague and Asteras Tripolis shared the
spoils in a 1-1 draw in the other game in the
group.
Marseille cruised away from home to open Group
F with a 3-0 win at FC Groningen.
Georges N'Koudou, Lucas Ocampos and Romain
Alessandrini scored for the French side.
Portuguese club Braga edged Liberec 1-0 after
Rafa Silva scored on the hour mark.
Basel took advantage of a red card to surprise
Fiorentina 2-1.
It only took Nikola Kalinic four minutes to give the
Italian side the lead, but Basel rallied after a
straight red card to Gonzala Rodriguez in the
66th minute.
Birkir Bjarnason and Mohamed El Nenny found
the net to give Basel the lead in Group I, while
Lech Poznan were held to a goalless draw at
home by Belenenses.
Aritz Aduriz recorded a brace to rally Athletic
Bilbao to a 3-1 win over Augsburg.
Halil Altintop put the German side ahead before
Aduriz flipped the scoreline and Markel Susaeta
added a third goal at the death.
Partizan Belgrade defeated AZ Alkmaar 3-2 as
Aboubakar Oumarou scored twice.
The hosts took a 3-1 lead through Andrija Zivkovic
in the 89th minute, an insurance goal that was
sorely needed after Markus Henriksen scored for
AZ in stoppage time.
All four teams in Group G are level on one point
after Saint-Etienne were held to a 2-2 draw by
Rosenborg and Lazio managed a 1-1 draw at
Dnipro.
Lazio appeared headed for victory on the back of
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic's first-half goal, but Yevhen
Seleznyov found an equaliser in stoppage time.
Saint-Etienne are playing well in Ligue 1 but
needed an 87th-minute penalty from Nolan Roux
to earn a point against Rosenborg.
Lokomotiv Moscow tops Group H after a 3-1 win
at Sporting Lisbon.
Aleksandr Samedov scored twice and Baye Oumar
Niasse added a third to lift the Russian side in
Portugal, with Fredy Montero scoring for the
hosts.
Besiktas also won away from home as Jose Sosa's
goal gave them a 1-0 win at Skenderbeu.
