A Canadian fashion photographer living in New York City specializes in a unique kind of photography — she shoots nothing but dressed-up penises.
Soraya Doolbaz, 35, was inspired to pursue this line of work back when she was single and would receive penis photos from men, which were, frankly, hit and miss.
"These dick pics varied in quality depending on the guy and the relationship," she wrote on her website, dicturegallery.com (NSFW link), which highlights her work.
"I thought it would be funny to treat dick pics like a high fashion photo shoot. So, I put clothes on penises and the rest is history."
While it's meant to be funny, she's also hoping to create a conversation about exposing male genitalia.
"Men have been controlling the content. Most men don't want to see another guys' dick. As a result, t— and a– have owned the spotlight," she wrote.
The NSFW photos mostly mimic celebrities or historical figures, such as "Napoleon Boner Parte," "Saddong Hussein" and "Donald 'The Dick' Trump."
Her models are men who bring in their girlfriends for help during the photo shoots.
Her work has been shown in a handful of galleries.
Born in Iran, Doolbaz started taking pictures when she lived in Toronto until 2014.
"To be honest, I was never a photographer. I just had this idea and bought a really good camera and took a bunch of pics. Some of them turned out great," she told the Sun in an email.
"My work kind of blew up in New York when I had my first real art gallery exhibit in September of 2015, where I debuted my second collection. 'Dick-tators of history' really won people over. LOL."
