After a while, he got close to me. One day, he said he wanted to help me repair something in my car. He had earlier said that he was an auto dealer. He disappeared with my vehicle for three months before it was recovered from the person he sold it to in Kaduna. Before his arrest, I called him severally but he always told me that he would soon bring the car, unknown to me that he had already sold it. I never instructed him to sell the car as he claimed.".<p> <br>The state Commissioner of Police, Leye Oyebade who paraded the suspect and his accomplices, said that Lawal went away with the Toyota Sequia SUV belonging to one Pastor John Akorede Aderounmu under the pretext that he wanted to carry out some repairs, only to abscond with the vehicle.<p>"The suspect sold the vehicle to a criminal receiver in Kaduna State without the knowledge and the consent of the owner, and refused to respond to the owner's calls when he demanded for the return of his vehicle." Oyebade stated.<p>He added that when Lawal was arrested, he confessed to have sold the vehicle, leading to the arrest of other suspects. <p>Exhibits recovered from the gang include a Toyota Sequiao SUV, 13 vehicle particulars, nine forged Customs paper, number plate with registration number BH 299 BKA and other documents.<p>When interrogated, the suspect, Lawal denied stealing the car, claiming it was the Pastor who asked him to sell the vehicle and he had given him an additional N400,000 to add to the N800,000 which he realized from the sale. He could not however respond when asked why he wasn't answering the Pastor's call after collecting the car.

Joshua and his engineers, Oladele Ogundeji and Akinbela Fatiregun failed to appear in court.<br /><br><br /><br><br /><br>Counsel to the Engineers, Oluwaseun Abimbola, told the court that they were absent because they were not served with court papers. <br /><br><br /><br>Reacting to this position, the Lagos State's Attorney General, Adeniji Kazeem said no valid physical addresses were found for the contractors, which he said was reason that the Ministry of Justice could not locate or serve the court papers.<br /><br><br /><br>The presiding judge ordered that proper court notices be served to the engineers within 72 hours, and advised their counsel to inform them to take the court proceedings seriously as their trial is of a criminal case. <br /><br><br /><br>117 people, mostly Nigerians and South Africans, died in the Church building collapse.

BIZARRE: Father Beat's 7-Year-Old Son To Death and Feed His Remains To Pigs [PHOTO]

Michael Jones of Kansas City, who was arrested for attacking his wife, has also been suspected by the police of feeding his 7-year-old son to pigs after beating him to death.<br /><br><br /><br>When Jones, 44, was first held on suspicions of assaulting his wife at their home and firing a gun at her, police didn't suspect they would make a shocking discovery at the home he shared with his wife and kids.<br /><br><br /><br>Acting on a tip off, the police detectives searched the family's backyard in Wyandotte County, where they found the decomposing remains of their missing son.<br /><br><br /><br>Local women, who knew the family, said the couple had eight children, but their son had gone missing earlier this year. They also claimed Jones' wife added livestock to the barn in September.<br /><br><br /><br>"Their house was horrible", WSFA.com quoted an anonymous woman as saying. <br /><br><br /><br>"Their house was just filthy. The kids lived in filth. Trash everywhere. Dried food all over the house".<br /><br><br /><br>It was also learnt that former babysitters, who worked for the family, revealed that several people reached out to the Kansas Department for Children and Families with concerns about the Jones children.<br /><br><br /><br>The seven other children are believed to be safe and in protective custody.<br /><br><br /><br>According to a police source, investigators fear the remains are the result of the child being fed to pigs after being beaten to death although the remains have yet to be identified.<br /><br><br /><br>The police have now charged Jones with battering and assaulting his wife on Wednesday and also with "torturing or cruelly beating" his 7-year-old son sometime between May 1 and Sept. 28.<br /><br><br /><br>He is expected to make his first appearance in Wyandotte County District Court tomorrow.

Manchester City returned to the top of the<br>Premier League on goal difference as they<br>defeated Southampton 3-1 at the Etihad<br>Stadium.<br>City, who had recorded one draw and two defeats<br>in their last three games in all competitions, took<br>the lead on nine minutes when Kevin De Bruyne<br>was presented with the simplest of finishes<br>following good work from Raheem Sterling.<br>They doubled their advantage when Fabian<br>Delph, making his first Premier League start, sent<br>a deflected shot past Saints keeper Maarten<br>Stekelenburg.<br>Southampton did not give up the fight, though,<br>and after Virgil van Dijk sent a shot against the<br>woodwork in the first half, Shane Long pulled one<br>back with a header on 50 minutes.<br>Dusan Tadic might have equalised for Saints Father beat 7-year-old son, fed his body to pigs- Police

A Kansas City man arrested for attacking his wife<br /><br>is also suspected of feeding his 7-year-old son to<br /><br>pigs after beating him to death.<br /><br>Michael Jones, 44, was held after reports that he<br /><br>had assaulted his wife at their home and fired a<br /><br>gun at her.<br /><br>But when police began investigating, they were<br /><br>tipped off that they should search the family's<br /><br>backyard for the decomposing remains of their<br /><br>missing son.<br /><br>The next day, human remains were found at a<br /><br>barn on their property in Wyandotte County.<br /><br>Local women who knew the family said the<br /><br>couple had eight children, but their son had<br /><br>disappeared earlier this year. They also claimed<br /><br>Jones' wife added livestock to the barn in<br /><br>September.<br /><br>"Their house was horrible," one<br /><br>anonymous woman told WSFA.com. "Their<br /><br>house was just filthy. The kids lived in filth.<br /><br>Trash everywhere. Dried food all over the<br /><br>house."<br /><br>Former babysitters for the family say several<br /><br>people contacted the Kansas Department for<br /><br>Children and Families with concerns about the<br /><br>children.<br /><br>The seven other children are believed to be safe<br /><br>and in protective custody.<br /><br>A police source said investigators fear the<br /><br>remains are the result of the child being fed to<br /><br>pigs after being beaten to death. The remains<br /><br>have yet to be identified.<br /><br>Jones is now charged with battering and<br /><br>assaulting his wife on Wednesday, and also with<br /><br>"torturing or cruelly beating" his 7-year-old son<br /><br>sometime between May 1 and Sept. 28.<br /><br>Jones is expected to have a first appearance in<br /><br>Wyandotte County District Court on Monday.

I want to use this<br>opportunity to urge him to continue being<br>consistent in the service of God and<br>humanity. He is a good sheppard that has<br>been consistent in leading his flock. Montreal Impact's Didier Drogba open to being Chelsea manager

Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has told BBC<br>Africa he would like to "give back" to the Premier<br>League club in the future by becoming their<br>manager or taking on another senior role.<br>Drogba, 37, is currently contracted to Montreal<br>Impact, where he has scored 12 goals in 14 Major<br>League Soccer appearances.<br>The Ivorian played for Chelsea over two separate<br>stints, netting 157 goals in 341 outings and<br>helping the club lift several trophies, including<br>four Premier League titles and the Champions<br>League.<br>Drogba said: "I want to give back to the club<br>which has given so much to me. I have agreed<br>that with the club directors.<br>"Why not manager? Why not sporting director,<br>trainer at the academy or maybe an advising role<br>for strikers?"<br>Current Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has<br>come under pressure this season having won just<br>four of their 13 league fixtures so far.<br>But Drogba is confident his former boss will turn<br>things around at Stamford Bridge, adding: "If the<br>club has kept him that means owner Roman<br>Abramovich thinks that he is the right man.<br>"I think the players trust him and he is giving his<br>best to change the situation.<br>"They have quality when it comes to the players,<br>and quality when it comes to the management.<br>This is a club which usually doesn't have a bad<br>season twice."<br>Drogba has called on Chelsea's leaders to stand<br>up and drag the club away from the lower<br>reaches of the Premier League.<br>Mourinho's men are just three places above the<br>relegation zone, with a 12-point gap to Arsenal in<br>fourth.<br>"I don't like to compare things to when I was<br>there but there are some facts that you can't<br>hide," Drogba was quoted as saying by The Sun<br>at the launch of his new book, Commitment.<br>"During my time at Chelsea we had a lot of<br>leaders in the team, not only last year but during<br>the previous seasons.<br>"There was Frank Lampard, Petr Cech, John Terry,<br>myself, Michael Ballack, Michael Essien, Andriy<br>Shevchenko, Claude Makelele -- big names, big<br>players and big characters.<br>"We could take responsibility for a result and<br>change the situation in bad moments such as<br>when there was a change of manager or when we<br>had bad results.<br>"There was always someone to step up and say,<br>'Guys, we need to do something' and everybody<br>would follow.<br>"JT is still there but on your own it is very difficult,<br>so other players have to come up with this<br>mentality. "But it's not something you are born<br>with - you build it within you.<br>"You have to make sure that it is the right<br>moment to talk and to take the lead and, most<br>importantly, the rest of the team has to accept<br>you as a leader.<br>"When you stand up and say, 'Let's go and win'<br>you have to make sure that you produce yourself<br>-- you can't be a leader if you are not the first to<br>show that you have the determination to want to<br>win.<br>"I think there are some leaders in this current<br>squad and hopefully you will soon see that."<br>Chelsea have shown signs of a revival this week --<br>following up a narrow victory over Norwich with a<br>4-0 success against Maccabi Tel Aviv -- but<br>frustration was evident during a half-time bust-up<br>between striker Diego Costa and manager<br>Mourinho in Israel.<br>Drogba believes Costa will come to realise the<br>need to keep his cool and has backed his former<br>boss to reverse Chelsea's fortunes.<br>"I have also had some passionate moments in my<br>career," the Ivorian said. What are they doing with that money? We want to know. We will not back down," she said.<br /><br><br /><br>All those summoned to the hearings are required to produce their ordination certificate, the church registration certificate, bank statements and the annual financial statements dating from 2012.<br /><br><br /><br><br /><br> <br /><br>"Some of these religious leaders will face prison if they do not comply and we have been clear about our course of action," she insisted.<br /><br><br /><br>Mkhwanazi-Xaluva singled out Oyakhilome, stating that he insisted he would fight the commission in court before releasing his records.<br /><br><br /><br>"If he intends on that route, we are ready. He will have to face the same fate as the others who refuse to hand over their financial records," she said.<br /><br><br /><br>In contrast, a source who attended the hearing of South African Bishop Stephen Zondo, stated that Mkhwanazi-Xaluva cited an equally controversial Nigerian megachurch leader, T.B. Joshua, as an example of one who openly used his finances to assist the less-privileged, something she expected of all clergy.<br /><br><br /><br>It is not the first time 'Pastor Chris', as he is affectionately known by his followers, has faced controversy. Oloko, who is attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Ikeja, had arrived home on the evening, and started to undress in the bedroom, with his wife sitting on the bed.<br /><br><br /><br>The corporal, while removing his pistol from the holster, was said to have mistakenly fired his wife on the lap, leading to commotion in the apartment.<br /><br><br /><br>Oloko, assisted by neighbours, was said to have rushed the woman to a nearby hospital, but she reportedly died before they got to the hospital.<br /><br><br /><br>According to PUNCH, a police source said that the matter was a case of an accidental discharge, adding that the suspect and his wife did not have any altercation before the incident.<br /><br><br /><br>He said: <br /><br><br /><br>"It was a case of an accidental discharge. The police corporal was not careful in removing his pistol from the holster. When he got home on that evening, his wife welcomed him and they went to the bedroom.<br /><br><br /><br>"As he was undressing, he removed the gun and wanted to place it on the bed when it discharged. The bullet hit the wife's lap. He was the one that rushed his wife to the hospital. She died before they got to the hospital. He was thereafter arrested and detained in the Ikeja Police Division although the incident happened in Egbeda."<br /><br><br /><br>The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Joe Offor, confirmed the arrest. Offor, who also noted that it was an accidental discharge, said the case was being investigated at the State CID, Yaba.<br /><br><br /><br>He said: <br /><br><br /><br>"The policeman has been arrested, and handed over to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, SCID, for investigation. The incident involved him and his wife. It was a sort of a discharge rather than a fight. Investigation is still ongoing."

He attended Abdulazeez Atta Memorial College, Okene where he got his 'O' Levels in 1979. He obtained a Higher National Diploma in purchasing and supply management with upper credit in 1986 from Kaduna Polytechnic in Kaduna state and he received the Best Student award.
