While there was no official announcement about the burial, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) official and the Plateau Specialist Hospital director confirmed the information to Premium Times. According to the data provided, the explosion victims were buried along Maingo road in Jos South LGA.

It would be recalled that two days ago we filed the report about the fact that the hospitals' mortuaries were not sufficient enough to keep all the corpses and that some of them, mostly women and children, were spotted lying on the floor.

The alarm over importance to conduct mass burial was allegedly raised on Friday, after the corpses had decayed causing putrid smell in the area near the Specialist Hospital. According to the sources, in fear of possible danger and health implications it was decided to bury the bodies.

The Executive Secretary of SEMA Alhasan Barde revealed that another mass burial would be carried out on Monday.
