I visited their hostel recently<br /><br>and i met these guys who used N40.00<br /><br>(forty naira only) to cook soup. It was just<br /><br>an egg, salt and maggi.and they got a pot<br /><br>of soup and a very big bowel of eba which<br /><br>they ate in joyous mood. Also<br /><br>recovered alongside the suspected explosives<br /><br>were two AK47 rifles.<br /><br>Commenting on the arrest, the paramount ruler<br /><br>of Ijora community, Oba Fatai Ojora said<br /><br>"We have been calling on the state<br /><br>government to do something about this.<br /><br>This is the second time we will arrest Boko<br /><br>Haram suspects in this community and<br /><br>nothing has been done on that. The one<br /><br>we caught now had even admitted that he<br /><br>is a terrorist. You know that majority of the<br /><br>northerners in Lagos live in Ijora, Agege<br /><br>and Badia.''he said<br /><br>Another member of the community who<br /><br>spoke on condition of anonymity said<br /><br>"People came to me that they saw one<br /><br>man on the internet and that he is a<br /><br>member of Boko Haram, saying they know<br /><br>where he lives. They said they are going to<br /><br>his house and identify him. They arrested<br /><br>him and handed him to Oba of Ojora," he<br /><br>said.

ICPC recovers N53m from a suspect who allegedly diverted N103m meant for three Federal Government colleges

The Chairman, Independent Corrupt Practices,<br /><br>ICPC and Other Related Offences Commission, Mr.<br /><br>Ekpo Nta, said while the commission had<br /><br>recovered N53m from a suspect who allegedly<br /><br>diverted N103m meant for three Federal<br /><br>Government colleges, he would remain in the<br /><br>commission's custody till the recovery of the<br /><br>balance.<br /><br>The ICPC boss said the commission had recorded<br /><br>successes in the fight against corruption,<br /><br>starting with the recovery of assets seized from<br /><br>officials of government who he said were being<br /><br>investigated for living above their means.<br /><br>Nta said, "We just returned close to N1bn<br /><br>to the Federal Ministry of Environment and<br /><br>N53m to three colleges in Ogun State.<br /><br>"An official in the ministry took the money<br /><br>and lodged it into a dedicated account.<br /><br>We tracked it and recovered the money.<br /><br>The N53m we just returned to the schools<br /><br>was recovered from a Federal Pay Officer<br /><br>in Ogun State.<br /><br>"The man is currently in custody and we<br /><br>will keep him there so that we will be able<br /><br>to recover the entire N103m that he took.<br /><br>He has been disposing of his properties to<br /><br>ensure that he pays up.<br /><br>"The sum of N103m taken by the Federal<br /><br>Pay Officer was meant for feeding of<br /><br>students in those schools. These are what<br /><br>we have been doing to return integrity to<br /><br>the society.

After years of<br>goading, heckling and downright abuse from<br>the Blues boss, it was a sweet moment for<br>Wenger as he ended a remarkable and<br>unwanted record against his foe.<br>The Portuguese has called him a "voyeur", a<br>"specialist in failure" and mocked Arsenal's<br>inability to win the Premier League title since<br>2004 as "very boring".<p>Aside from his grumbles about Mourinho's lack<br>of dignity, Wenger likes to suggest that the<br>main differences between them lies in their<br>football philosophies. At the heart of the<br>animosity, though, is the fact that both are<br>terrible losers.<br>Mourinho can be considered in many respects<br>the anti-Wenger, a manager who jumps from<br>club to club, achieving spectacular results<br>without building for the long term. It is why<br>he has never spent more than three years at a<br>club - and he is struggling now at the start of<br>his third season in his second spell at Chelsea.<br>But he is a winner and the man who stopped<br>Wenger in his tracks. When Mourinho arrived<br>at Chelsea in 2004, Arsenal had just won their<br>third Premier League title under the<br>Frenchman with the 'Invincibles' side. Since<br>then, the Frenchman has won just three FA<br>Cups and endured a nine-year gap without a<br>trophy that was the basis for Mourinho's<br>"specialist in failure" jibe.<br>The Portuguese, meanwhile, has won two<br>Champions Leagues, eight league titles in four<br>countries and 10 other cup competitions.<br>When a club hires Mourinho, trophies are a<br>guarantee. He implements short-term projects<br>with spectacular results.<br>Mourinho riles at Wenger's criticism of his<br>managerial methods and past complaints<br>about Chelsea's money. It was in that context<br>that he crossed the line in 2007 with a<br>distasteful verbal attack in which he labelled<br>the Arsenal manager a "voyeur".<br>Having also signed Petr Cech over the<br>summer despite Mourinho's objections,<br>Wenger might feel that his luck has already<br>turned.<br>Arsenal's start to the season has not gone<br>entirely to plan, either, but the Gunners are<br>fourth in the table after five games, five points<br>behind leaders Manchester City but already<br>six ahead of Chelsea.<br>Wenger's side go in to the game off the back<br>of an embarrassing defeat by Dinamo Zagreb<br>but the 65-year-old rested six players in<br>Croatia on Wednesday night to ensure that he<br>could play his best team against Chelsea.<br>It took 11 years for Wenger to record his first<br>win over Mourinho. That is number one. Number two, what are their terms? The first impression we had was not very encouraging," he said</p><p style="margin-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 0px;">He said: "They wanted us to release one of their leaders who is a strategic person in developing and making IEDs which have been causing a lot of havoc in the country by blowing up people in churches, mosques, market places, motor parks and other places.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 0px;">"But it is very important that if we are going to talk to anybody, we have to know how much he is worth.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 0px;">"Let them bring all the girls and then, we will be prepared to negotiate.  I will allow them to come back to Nigeria or to be absorbed into the community. It is only if I approach him for financial assistance and he doesn't answer me that I will know that he is angry with me."</p><p style="margin-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 0px;">However, Goal has gathered from sources close to the team that Amokachi and his assistant Ike Shorounmu decided to call it quits with the Nnewi side because of the handling of the team by the owner, Chief Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah which has been allegedly described as inimical to its growth.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 0px;">Goal was told that Ifeanyi Ubah does not swallow defeat suffered by his club in good faith and that he allegedly forced his team to return to Nnewi after a league game same night they lost to Heartland in Port Harcourt at the detriment of their safety. This came before the unveiling of Amokachi.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 0px;">It was stated that the team obliged him save for former player of the side, Sani Kaita who opted not to risk his life and decided to end his romance with the team despite alleged several calls from the club owner for him to also return same night.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 0px;">Goal reliably gathered that a similar episode transpired last Sunday in Port Harcourt after the Anambra Warriors were beaten 1-0 by Sharks.
