THE Abia State National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA Commander, Bamidele Akingbade has promised to use all available resources to rid Abia State of drug peddlers, despite the challenges facing the agency in the state.
Akingbade in an interview at the state headquarters, Ogbor Hill, Aba pointed out that the high rate of drug presence on Abia State streets, was giving them sleepless nights as it requires very swift and concrete efforts to restore the state to normal.
He said that leaving drugs peddlers on the streets was tantamount to feeding criminals with cannon fodder for their criminal actions, hence every right thinking person should join the fight.
He said that he had been parading some of the drug peddlers to keep the public abreast of the agency's activities and to encourage those who may want to venture in to drug business.
