Kelechi Iheanacho continued his remarkable form for Manchester City with a goal and an assist in their 4-0 win against Bournemouth at the Etihad.
Kevin De Bruyne got the Citizens ahead with a cleverly taken free-kick and Iheanacho tapped the ball into an empty net after a perfectly executed counter attacking move.
The Super Eagles striker returned the favour to Raheem Sterling with an assist, as the England international stirred the ball beyond the goal line.
Ilkay Gundogan also got his first Premier League goal to continue Pep Guardiola’s perfect start of the season. It ended 4-0.
Arsenal continued their come back from a slow start to the new season as they were 3-1 victors away over Hull City to move within touching distance of league leaders.
Alexis Sanchez got the last touch from Alex Iwobi’s rebound for the Gunners and the teenager assisted Theo Walcott with a lovely back-heel after Sanchez missed a spot kick to make it 2-0.
Robert Snodgrass converted a penalty for the Tigers to close the lead but Sanchez blasted into the roof of the net to put match beyond doubt.
Arsenal were not done yet as Granit Xhaka scored one of the best goals of the season after he unleashed a canon from 30 yard out to put the icing on the cake. The match ended 4-1.
Salven Bilic’s West Ham lost their third consecutive match in the Premier League as they slumped to a 2-4 defeat against West Bromwich Albion.
Nacer Chadli scored from the spot as Solomon Rondon added the second before James Mclean put the Baggies 3-0 up at half time.
Chadli scored his second on the night to make the scoreline 4-0. Manuel Lanzini’s spot kick and Mikail Antonio’s headed goal could not bring the Hammers back into the contest as it ended 4-2 to West Brom.
Leicester City looked a lot better in their game against Burnley with a 3-0 victory at the King Power Stadium.
Two headed goals from Islam Slimani and an own goal from Mee got the Foxes back to winning ways as they bounce back from their defeat to Liverpool. It ended 3-0.
Chelsea lost their first game of the season to Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in Friday’s fixture courtesy of goals from Dejan Lovern and Jordan Hendersson, Diego Costa’s strike was not enough to salvage a draw for the Blues.
