Sofia Vergara remains world’s highest-paid TV actress with N13b earned in 12 months

Colombian actress Sofia Vergara has been named highest paid TV actress for fifth year in a row.

Sofia earned even more than any of her male counterparts in the past year, for her role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in TV show Modern Family, as well as from endorsement and licensing deals which helped her earn $43m (N13.5b) in the last 12 months before management fees and taxes.

The 44-year-old’s role as Gloria on ABC’s Modern Family got her Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013.

She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on May 7, 2015.

The Big Bang Theory‘s star Kaley Cuoco claimed second spot on the top 10 chart, earning $24.5m (over N7.5b). Along with her castmates, Cuoco commands the biggest TV deal of the day, earning $1m per episode, according to Forbes.
