The Nigerian army has released another video showing how the troops are training in operation code-named “Crocodile Smile,” Vanguard reports.
The video shows how the troops are taking over the rivers where the Niger Delta militants are operating.
The military have formally launched an exercise in the oil-rich region to provide adequate security for residents as well as critical national economic assets located in the area.
The decision is connected to the recent increase in militant activities, with a wave of attacks on oil and gas facilities.

A group that calls itself the Niger Delta Avengers has claimed responsibility for most of the recent attacks that has made some oil companies to declare force majeure.
Meanwhile, the group later said it has agreed to a ceasefire and was open for talks with the government.
In a response to the military exercise Niger Delta Greenland Justice Movement launched operation “Crocodile Tears”.
