A year after the demise of Bobbi Kristina, her boyfriend Nick Gordon has been found ‘legally responsible’ for her death, according to local news reports.
In a $50m wrongful death civil suit filed in August by Bobbi Kristina’s estate, Nick, who failed to appear at a court hearing on Friday, was ruled to be guilty of playing a part in the death of the late Whitney Houston‘s daughter.
‘He is legally responsible for her death, and the only thing left for us now to prove is the value of her life,’ a lawyer for Brown’s estate told NBC affiliate 11Alive in Atlanta. ‘And we intend to do that.’
A jury will now hear the case and decide on the damages owed by Gordon to the estate.
Whitney and Bobby Brown‘s daughter died under controversial circumstances after she was found face-down and unconscious in a bathtub in January 2015. She died on July 26, 2015 aged 22.
